In January-May 2026, Kazakhstan produced 1.6 billion liters of mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Bureau of National Statistics, this is 17% more than in the same period last year. Domestic sales reached 1.7 billion liters, up 21%.
Imports of non-alcoholic beverages increased by 29.6% to 217.1 million liters. The share of imported products in the domestic market was 11.4%.
According to statistics experts, the bulk of exports traditionally consists of waters and other non-alcoholic beverages with added sugar or other sweeteners, as well as flavoring and taste additives.
During the reporting period, exports of this product type reached 172.8 million liters, with a monetary value of $75.5 million.
The largest export markets: - Kyrgyzstan – 94.9 million liters; - Uzbekistan – 48.3 million liters; - Russia – 23.5 million liters; - Armenia – 548.5 thousand liters; - Azerbaijan – 342.1 thousand liters; - Georgia – 393.5 thousand liters.
Additionally, exports to Tajikistan increased from 2.5 million to 2.9 million liters, to Mongolia from 802.1 thousand to 930.2 thousand liters, and to the Republic of Korea from 117.7 thousand to 171.5 thousand liters.
It is worth noting that in 2025, 145 enterprises in Kazakhstan were engaged in the production of non-alcoholic beverages.
