Kazakhstan will host the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships for the first time. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to International Skating Union (ISU) President Jae Youl Kim, Central Asian fans will be able to see world-class skaters perform live.

"We are delighted to hold the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Kazakhstan for the first time. This is a wonderful opportunity for Central Asian fans to enjoy a world-class competition and see their idols up close. Interest in figure skating in Kazakhstan has reached a new level. We are confident that Astana will be a high-level venue for athletes, fans and all participants," said Jae Youl Kim.

The prestigious international event is scheduled to take place on February 9-14, 2027. The best skaters from Asia, North and South America, Africa and Oceania will come to the Kazakh capital. They will compete in one of the most important tournaments of the season.

It is worth noting that Kazakhstan previously hosted figure skating competitions during the 2011 Asian Winter Games and the 2017 Winter Universiade, but a championship of this level will be held for the first time.
