For the first time in Kazakhstan, a female fighter has been accepted into the Berkut special unit of the National Guard. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The fighter, named Kymbat, has the call sign Kitana. This was reported by the National Guard.

Kymbat's abilities were noticed at the international SWAT Challenge competition in Dubai. During the competition, she stood out for her marksmanship and attracted the attention of special unit fighters.

Kymbat is a six-time champion of Kazakhstan in hand-to-hand combat and a three-time world champion in jiu-jitsu. She is currently preparing for a special test to receive the maroon beret.

If she successfully passes the test, she will become the first woman in the history of the National Guard to receive this distinctive badge.
