The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan is transferring the entire career of medical workers into a unified digital system. The updated National Human Resources Accounting System will track the entire path of a specialist — from admission to medical college to advanced training, employment, and job changes. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The draft order was published on the open NPA portal. The document states: "The professional register will allow accumulating information on the training of specialists, the educational trajectory of students and residents, the professional activities of medical workers, the level of qualification, continuous professional development, personnel movement, and the need of the healthcare system for medical personnel."

The project also provides for expanding the digital integration of the register with state systems. It is noted that this will increase the relevance and reliability of data, reduce duplication of information, and ensure more efficient exchange of information between state resources.

Special attention is paid to issues of personal data protection and cybersecurity. The project strengthens requirements for information protection, maintenance of the information system, and ensuring its stable and safe operation.

The Ministry of Health expects that this innovation will improve the quality of state management of the healthcare workforce and more accurately predict the need for medical personnel.

For citizens, this means that the system of training and distribution of medical personnel will become more transparent and efficient. This will help to timely provide medical organizations with the necessary specialists and create additional conditions for further improving the accessibility and quality of medical care throughout the country.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that the Ministry of Health prepared new rules according to which the number of places in medical universities will be calculated based on the real requests of hospitals and clinics. Special emphasis will be placed on regions with a critical shortage of narrow specialists.
