Kazakhstan has prepared 9.1 million tons of livestock feed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the plan was 8 million tons. The actual figure exceeded the plan by 1.1 million tons. The feed preparation campaign has been completed. All regions of the country have sufficient feed reserves.
Ministry officials noted that this year's weather conditions were favorable, with good grass yields. This allowed for abundant feed collection. The quality of the feed is also assessed as good.
The main part of the feed consists of hay, silage, and straw. Additionally, fodder grain crops were prepared. All collected feed will be distributed to farms engaged in livestock breeding.
This indicator is an important step in ensuring Kazakhstan's food security. Sufficient feed is expected to have a positive impact on meat and milk production.
