According to the results of the first nine months of 2026, the total volume of livestock products in Kazakhstan exceeded 3 trillion 226 billion tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The physical volume index stood at 103.5%.

Meat production reaches 846,500 tonnes

During the reporting period, the volume of production of all types of meat in the country reached 846,500 tonnes. This is 3.7% higher compared to the same period last year.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, beef production amounted to 301,600 tonnes. In the same period last year, this figure was 282,300 tonnes.

Lamb production increased from 88,600 tonnes to 91,200 tonnes, and horse meat from 115,300 tonnes to 119,900 tonnes.

Poultry meat production is also developing dynamically, reaching 277,000 tonnes this year.

Livestock numbers are growing

The number of agricultural animals is also growing, the ministry says. During the reporting period:

  • 01cattle numbers reached 8,778,400 head (103.4%);
  • 02sheep and goat numbers reached 22,609,500 head (102.3%);
  • 03horse numbers reached 4,787,000 head (107.3%);
  • 04camel numbers reached 311,500 head (104%).
