On Thursday, August 6, unstable weather will persist over most of Kazakhstan. According to Kazhydromet, atmospheric fronts will bring rain with thunderstorms, locally heavy downpours, hail and squally wind. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

At the same time, almost no precipitation is expected in the west and south of the country, and air temperatures will rise to +38 degrees.

Storm warnings have been issued in most regions.

The most intense precipitation is forecast in the east of the country, in mountainous areas of the southeast, as well as at night in the northern and central regions. Hail is possible in some areas.

Wind strengthening is expected across the republic, and fog will form in places in the west and north at night and in the morning.

In Astana, rain and thunderstorms are forecast at night.

In Almaty, light rain and thunderstorms are expected, and in the Ile Alatau mountains, heavy downpours, thunderstorms and daytime hail are possible.

Difficult weather conditions are also forecast in Karaganda, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, Abai, North Kazakhstan and Zhetisu regions, where heavy rain, hail, squalls and gusty winds up to 23–25 m/s are expected in places.

Despite precipitation in a number of regions, intense heat will persist in the west of the country.

During the day, the air will warm up to +35…+37 degrees in Atyrau region, Ulytau region, in the southwest of West Kazakhstan, as well as in the south and east of Aktobe region.

The highest temperature is expected in Mangystau region — in the northeast and south, thermometers will rise to +38 degrees.

Almost throughout the country, a high risk of natural fires remains.

High fire danger has been declared in a number of areas of West Kazakhstan, Abai, East Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Almaty, Mangystau, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Pavlodar, Turkistan, Karaganda regions, Ulytau region and Zhetisu region.

Extreme fire danger remains in Atyrau, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl and Turkistan regions, as well as in some areas of West Kazakhstan, Mangystau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Akmola, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Almaty regions, Abai region, Zhetisu region and Ulytau region.

Extreme fire danger also remains in Almaty, Shymkent, Taldykorgan, Kyzylorda, and high danger in Zhezkazgan, Aktau, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Semey and Konayev.

Earlier, weather forecasters warned Kazakhstanis that heat from Iran up to +42 degrees and rain with hail are coming to Kazakhstan.
