In July, prices for nearly a quarter of controlled medicines in the country's pharmacies decreased. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In Kazakhstan, retail prices for 589 medicinal products decreased in July. The monitoring covered 2,555 drug names in 20 regions of the country.
Prices for approximately half of the controlled drugs – 1,267 products – remained unchanged. Meanwhile, prices for 147 drugs decreased by more than 20%, for another 198 – by 10–20%, and for 244 names – by 5–10%.
The list of cheaper medicines includes drugs widely used to treat infectious, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal diseases. In particular:
- 01Zitmak®️ 250 mg No. 6 decreased by 24.25%;
- 02Ceftriaxone 1 g – by 22.03%;
- 03Pantap®️ 20 mg No. 14 – by 20.1%;
- 04Lisinopril-LF 20 mg No. 10 – by 14.7%;
- 05Enap®️ 5 mg No. 10 – by 13.27%;
- 06Pulmicort 0.25 ml – by 11.09%;
- 07Amoxiclav 875 mg/125 mg – by 6.86%.
The ministry said that actual drug prices are monitored through the labeling and traceability system. This system allows tracking the movement and availability of medicines in medical organizations and pharmacies, as well as comparing actual prices with the maximum prices set by the state.
