Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for August 4 across all 17 regions of Kazakhstan. Forecasters predict heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, squalls, fog, dust storms, wind up to 28 m/s and heat up to +38°C. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

In the Almaty region, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the north, west, south and mountainous areas. In the south and mountains, heavy rain will occasionally fall, with hail and squalls possible. Gusts of westerly wind in the north, south, east and mountainous areas will reach 17-22 m/s, occasionally 25 m/s in the east. Extreme fire danger will persist in the north, west and south, and high in the east.

In Almaty, rain and thunderstorms are expected at times, with westerly wind gusts reaching 17 m/s. Extreme fire danger will persist. In the mountains of Ile Alatau, including the mountain zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts, rain, thunderstorms, occasionally heavy rain, hail and squalls are forecast.
