Storm warnings have been issued in 15 regions of Kazakhstan for Friday, September 4. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kazhydromet. Forecasters warn of thunderstorms, fog, frost, dust storms, strong winds and high fire danger.

Akmola Region

Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west and north. High fire danger remains in the north. Kokshetau also has a high fire danger.

Almaty Region

At night, rain and thunderstorms are forecast in the foothills, and light precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow in the mountains. During the day, short-term rain, thunderstorms and hail are expected in the foothill and mountainous areas. Fog is possible in the mountains at night and in the morning. In the east of the region, gusts of northeast wind will reach 15-20 m/s during the day. Extreme fire danger remains in the center, west and east, and high fire danger in the north.

Konayev remains under extreme fire danger. In the mountains of Ile Alatau, including the mountain zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts of Almaty, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day, and fog at night and in the morning.

Shymkent and Turkistan

In Shymkent, gusts of northeast wind will reach 15-20 m/s during the day, and extreme fire danger remains. In Turkistan, wind gusts up to 15-20 m/s and extreme fire danger are also expected.
