According to forecasts from Kazhydromet, the weather in Kazakhstan on July 31 will be contrasting. In the west, north, and east of the country, rain with thunderstorms, locally heavy downpours, hail, and squally winds are expected. In the southern regions, abnormal heat will persist, and dust storms are forecast in some places. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to weather forecasters, air temperatures in the south of Aktobe, Kostanay, and Karaganda regions, as well as in the Ulytau region, will reach 40–41°C. In Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions, temperatures of up to 40–44°C are expected. In Almaty, Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar regions, as well as in the Ulytau and Zhetysu regions, the air will warm up to 35–39°C.
A high and extreme fire danger class persists over most of the country.
Storm warnings have been issued in Aktobe, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Kostanay, West Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan regions, and the Abai region, where thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail, squalls, and wind intensification are expected.
Dust storms are forecast in some areas of Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions.
Intense heat is also expected in major cities. In Astana, the air will warm up to 35–37°C, in Shymkent to 40–41°C, in Turkestan to 42–44°C, and in Kyzylorda to 40–42°C. In Almaty, extreme fire danger will persist.
Earlier, weather forecasters promised Kazakhstani residents that in August, temperatures in some regions would cool down to +25°C.
