A storm warning has been issued in 16 regions of Kazakhstan for October 30. Forecasters predict snow with rain, ice, fog and wind gusts up to 20 m/s. Night frosts are expected in the south and southeast. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Pavlodar Region
In Pavlodar Region, rain and snow will fall at night. During the day, light precipitation and ice are forecast in the west and south. Gusts of northwest wind in these areas will reach 15–20 m/s.
East Kazakhstan Region
In East Kazakhstan Region, rain and snow are expected, with occasional heavy precipitation and ice in the north and mountains. Fog will cover the north and east of the region at night and in the morning. In the west and north, wind gusts will reach 15–20 m/s.
Abai Region
In Abai Region, rain and snow are forecast, with ice in the north and east, and fog at night and in the morning. Wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are expected in the west, north and center.
North Kazakhstan Region
In North Kazakhstan Region, rain and snow will pass in the north and east at night, with ice expected. Fog is forecast in the west and south. Wind gusts will be 15–20 m/s.
Zhetysu Region
In Zhetysu Region, the temperature will drop to −4…−9°C at night, and to −7…−9°C in Taldykorgan. Fog is expected in the mountains, and northeast wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s in the area of Alakol lakes.
Almaty Region
In Almaty Region, frosts down to −1…−6°C are forecast at night, and down to −1…−3°C in Konaev. Fog is expected in the mountains, and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s in the south and mountainous areas. In Almaty and the mountainous zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts, fog and wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s are forecast at times.
Zhambyl Region
In Zhambyl Region, frosts down to −1…−6°C are expected at night. In mountainous areas — fog and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s.
Kyzylorda Region
In Kyzylorda Region, it will get colder down to −3°C at night in the north and center.
Turkestan Region
In Turkestan Region, frosts down to −1°C are expected at night in the west, and down to −1…−3°C in Turkestan. Fog is forecast in the mountains, and northeast wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s during the day.
Mangystau Region
In Mangystau Region, southeast wind gusts will reach 15–20 m/s during the day in the west and center. The same wind is expected at times in Aktau.
Fire danger
Extreme fire danger persists in Atyrau Region and Atyrau, in Kyzylorda Region and Kyzylorda, except for the north of the region, where the level is high. Extreme danger is also forecast in the center of Mangystau Region, in the east of Zhetysu, in the west of Karaganda Region, in the west and center of Ulytau Region, including Zhezkazgan.
