According to the Ministry of Agriculture, based on operational data from regional akimats, agricultural producers have prepared 19.8 million tons of animal feed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This volume constitutes approximately 77% of the planned hay needed for the upcoming winter housing period. The ministry reported that as of now, 17.1 million tons of hay, 1.5 million tons of haylage, 362.3 thousand tons of compound feed, 91.7 thousand tons of silage, and 777.2 thousand tons of straw have been prepared.
Additionally, JSC "Food Contract Corporation" has formed a reserve of feed grain in the amount of 201.3 thousand tons. If necessary, this reserve will be used to provide agricultural producers with feed.
For the winter period of 2026–2027, it is planned to prepare 25.7 million tons of hay, 2.3 million tons of haylage, 2.8 million tons of silage, 4.8 million tons of straw, and 5.7 million tons of compound feed.
