Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for most of the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected in several regions of Kazakhstan on September 19. Forecasters also warned of fog, strong wind and high fire danger.

Ulytau Region

In the Ulytau region, rain, thunderstorms and hail are expected in the west, north and south. In Zhezkazgan, rain with thunderstorms will occur in the morning and afternoon.

Kyzylorda Region

Rain and thunderstorms are forecast in the Kyzylorda region. During the day, the northwest wind will strengthen to 15-20 m/s.

North Kazakhstan, Turkistan and Zhambyl Regions

Rain with thunderstorms is also possible at night in the North Kazakhstan region, and during the day in the mountainous areas of the Turkistan and Zhambyl regions. In some areas, the wind will strengthen to 15-20 m/s.

Fog

At night and in the morning, fog is expected in the west, north and east of the country. In particular, the warning applies to the Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions, as well as the Abai region.

Wind

In the Zhetisu region, in the area of the Alakol lakes, gusts of the east wind will reach 25 m/s. In the Abai and East Kazakhstan regions, the wind will strengthen to 15-20 m/s, with gusts up to 23 m/s.

Fire danger

In Astana, high fire danger will persist on September 19.

High fire danger on September 19 is expected in Astana, as well as in the Pavlodar and Karaganda regions, the Abai and Zhetisu regions, and in certain areas of the Akmola, North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Mangystau and Almaty regions.

Extreme fire danger will persist in the Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Zhambyl and Almaty regions, the Ulytau region and certain areas of several other regions.

In Shymkent, Turkistan and Taraz, extreme fire danger will also persist.
