Kazakhstan is expected to see rain, snow and night frosts on October 15–17, 2026. In the east, temperatures will drop to −11 degrees Celsius, while in the south and west daytime temperatures will reach up to +25. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Precipitation will occur across most of the country. In the east and southeast on October 15, heavy rain and snow are expected at times. Ice is also forecast in the east.
"At night on October 16–17, frosts of 1–2 degrees are forecast in the southeast of the country," the Kazhydromet forecast says.
In the center and south of Kazakhstan, the weather will be without precipitation. Across the republic, wind intensification is expected, with fog at night and in the morning.
In the north of Kazakhstan, nighttime temperatures will drop to −3…−8 degrees. From October 17, nighttime temperatures will rise to 0…+8. During the day, the air will warm up to +7…+12 degrees.
In Kostanay region, −1…−6 degrees are expected at night. Daytime temperatures will decrease from +12…+17 to +10…+15.
In the east of Kazakhstan, nighttime temperatures will vary from −1…−6 to −3…−11 degrees. During the day, +3…+12 is expected, and in the east of the region — around −2.
In Karaganda region, −1…−8 degrees are forecast at night, and around +3 in the south of the region. During the day, it will gradually warm up to +10…+15.
In Ulytau region, nighttime temperatures will be 0…+6 degrees, and up to −3 in the north and east. Daytime temperatures will be +10…+20.
In the west of the country, temperatures will drop to +7…+15 degrees at night and to +17…+25 during the day.
In Aktobe region, +1…+6 degrees are expected at night, and −1…−3 in the north and east of the region. During the day, it will get colder to +15…+23.
In the south of Kazakhstan, nighttime temperatures will drop to +2…+10 degrees, and daytime temperatures to +15…+25.
In the southeast, nighttime temperatures will be 0…+8 degrees, and −2…−7 in the mountains. Daytime temperatures will vary from +12…+22 to +10…+18.
