Kazakhstan has broken a 111-year-old heat record. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to weather forecasters, this summer the air temperature reached a historic maximum, exceeding the figure set in 1915. The new record was recorded in several regions of the country, but exact values have not yet been published.

Experts say such heat may be linked to climate change. In eastern and southern regions of Kazakhstan, thermometers showed above 40 degrees.

According to the weather forecast, hot weather will persist in the coming days. Residents are advised to drink more water and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

This record is the highest temperature in the country's history. The previous figure was recorded in 1915.
