Kazakhstan will join large-scale environmental events on September 19 dedicated to World Cleanup Day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Scale of the campaign
According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, volunteers, young people, employees of government agencies, commercial enterprises and ordinary residents will take part in cleaning parks, squares, shores of water bodies and other recreation areas.
Where the cleanups will take place
The cleanups will cover all regions. For example, in Astana the campaign will become part of an environmental month running from September 12 to October 10, while in Turkistan region the cleanup will be combined with tree planting.
Main goal
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan notes that the project is aimed not only at the mechanical collection of household waste, but also at developing environmental culture and promoting the principles of conscious consumption among citizens.
