Three personnel appointments have been made in the government of Kazakhstan. Arsen Zhakanbayev has been appointed Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Yerzhan Yertayev — Vice Minister of Energy, and Bauyrzhan Moldagaliyev headed the apparatus of the Ministry of Culture and Information. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Arsen Zhakanbayev
Arsen Zhakanbayev was born in 1988 in Almaty region. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He began his career in 2010 in the irrigated land monitoring division. He later worked in the structures of the ministries of agriculture, national economy, and ecology. He headed the departments of transboundary rivers, water policy, and international cooperation. Since November 2023, he has headed the Committee for Water Resources.
Yerzhan Yertayev
Yerzhan Yertayev was born in 1985 in Pavlodar region. He graduated from the Innovative Eurasian University and the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. He began his career in 2009 as an electromechanic.
He worked in the energy and utilities department of Pavlodar region, and headed the territorial departments of the Ministry of Energy for Akmola and Karaganda regions. In various years, he headed the apparatus of the chairman of the board of Samruk-Energy and Ekibastuz GRES-1. Since July 2024, he has held the position of chairman of the Committee for State Energy Supervision and Control.
Bauyrzhan Moldagaliyev
Bauyrzhan Moldagaliyev was born in 1989 in Zhetisu region. He graduated with a bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He holds a PhD degree.
He worked in scientific organizations and government structures. Since 2018, he has held various positions in the Presidential Administration. He was deputy head of the Department of Internal Policy and deputy head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Since July 2026, he has worked as deputy head of the Department of Internal Policy of the Presidential Administration.
