Kazakhstan has proposed creating a Network University of Turkic States to unite leading medical universities, jointly train doctors, exchange specialists and develop medical science. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The initiative was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health, Akmaral Alnazarova. She proposed creating a network university that would unite the leading medical higher education institutions of the Turkic States.

"It is planned to jointly develop educational programs, including in such areas as public health, epidemiology and bioinformatics," said the head of the agency, Akmaral Alnazarova.

To coordinate the work, she also proposed creating a Coordinating Council for Medical Education under the Secretariat of the Turkic States.

In addition, Alnazarova proposed creating a grant program for young scientists, doctoral students and resident doctors, as well as developing joint internships in in-demand medical specialties.

Priority areas include pediatric cardiac surgery, transplantology, neurosurgery and oncohematology.

"Kazakhstan's national research centers and university clinics are ready to become platforms for practical training of specialists from the Turkic States," the statement said.

Speaking about cooperation in primary health care and family medicine, the minister also proposed organizing joint educational programs for doctors working in rural and border areas, mobile schools and short-term internships.

"The Days of Kazakhstani Medicine held in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan became a practical example of effective partnership," the statement said.

Kazakhstani doctors performed joint operations, consulted patients and exchanged experience in the use of modern medical technologies.

Such interaction helps strengthen professional ties and enhance the practical and scientific potential of specialists in the healthcare sector.

Kazakhstan proposed holding such programs on a regular basis and spreading the practice of joint medical missions to other Turkic States.
