Three teenagers were rescued from an altitude of over 4,300 meters in the mountains of Kazakhstan. The teenagers, born in 2007 and 2008, were unable to descend on their own after climbing to the summit. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene. The search and rescue operation involved five rescuers and one piece of equipment.
Despite the difficult mountain terrain and the onset of evening, rescuers quickly located the teenagers and helped them descend safely.
"Rescuers quickly found the teenagers and escorted them to a safe place. After the operation, the rescued were taken to an eco-post," the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The teenagers did not require medical assistance.
