During the meeting with the Iranian president, the sides discussed the implementation of agreements reached following Pezeshkian's official visit to Kazakhstan on December 10-11, 2025. They also exchanged views on the current regional situation and prospects for its further development.

In talks with Araghchi, issues of bilateral cooperation, interaction within international and regional organizations, and further development of Kazakh-Iranian relations were discussed.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister noted the significance of agreements reached under the signed memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States.

Separately, the sides assessed the agreement of June 28, 2026, on the transfer of a land plot in Shahid Rajaee port in Bandar Abbas for the construction of a Kazakh transport and logistics terminal.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the project is being implemented on the instructions of the head of state and is aimed at developing transport and transit potential, as well as expanding Kazakhstan's export opportunities.
