A video has appeared on social media showing armed special forces soldiers storming a hockey arena and opening fire. It turned out that the footage was filmed during anti-terrorist exercises in Minsk involving Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The Eurasian Anti-Terror 2026 exercises took place on October 8. According to the scenario, during the final of an international hockey tournament at the Chizhovka-Arena sports complex, terrorists infiltrated under the guise of fans.
One of the arena's employees had previously helped them bring in weapons and grenades. The simulated militants opened fire toward spectators and took hostages in the stands and the press center.
The release of the people was practiced by special units from Belarus and Russia.
Kazakh fighters, together with their Belarusian colleagues, conducted another operation — they freed hostages from a bus. According to the legend, the terrorists demanded a ransom and the opportunity to fly abroad.
Special forces from six countries also practiced repelling drone attacks, combating armed groups and attacks from the water. Strike drones, electronic warfare means and ground robots were used.
According to TASS, special units from CIS and SCO countries conducted joint exercises of this format on the territory of one state for the first time.
