Over 112 tons of fuel and lubricants were attempted to be illegally exported from Kazakhstan in just 20 days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Between July 1 and July 21 of this year, 1,342 attempts to illegally export fuel and lubricants totaling over 112 tons were recorded at checkpoints. Those responsible have been held accountable.
These measures are aimed at ensuring the country's energy security and preventing the shadow circulation of fuel, the National Security Committee said. A month ago, Olzhas Bektenov ordered tighter border controls and necessary measures to prevent fuel shortages. Last week, foreigners attempted to secretly export over 2 tons of diesel fuel from Kazakhstan.
The guilty Chinese citizens were held accountable, each fined 32,000 tenge.
