Kazakhstan Railways has started transporting passenger cars in specialized containers along the Chongqing – Dostyk – Vorsino route. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The subsidiary of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, JSC KTZ Express, is transporting passenger cars in specialized containers along the international route Chongqing (China) – Dostyk (Kazakhstan) – Vorsino (Russia).
The project is being implemented within the framework of cooperation between China Railway Container Transport Corporation (CRCT), Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd, and JSC KTZ Express. Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd dispatches the train, while KTZ Express handles the transportation expedition along the 1520 mm railway network, the national company said.
The train consists of 55 specialized 40-foot containers for transporting cars. The total shipment volume is 182 passenger cars of the Changan brand.
The project's feature is that the 40-foot containers are specially designed for transporting passenger cars, with a load capacity of 35 tons.
