Kazakhstan's Muay Thai national team won seven gold, three silver and four bronze medals at the World Championships that concluded in Kosovo. In the medal standings, our athletes finished third. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

World Champions

The world champions are Yusuf Mukhtasib (48 kg), David Shirokoradov (57 kg), Turar Duisekhan (63.5 kg), Bakhtiyar Narimanov (67 kg) and Aslan Koshiev (over 91 kg).

Silver and Bronze Medalists

Silver medals were won by Anastasia Konyushko (45 kg), Daiana Duisengali (48 kg) and Abdurakhman Abishev (54 kg).

Sioband Omarov (75 kg), Alena Ozheredova (67 kg) and Yevgeny Zimin (91 kg) are returning home with bronze.

Success in U24 and Among Veterans

In the U24 age category, Yerlan Shamardanov (45 kg) won gold. Milana Kolchenko (57 kg) won a bronze medal.

Kazakhstani Ivan Van Khon Tun (86 kg) became champion among athletes over 45 years old.

Comparison with the Previous Championship

At the previous 2025 World Championships in Antalya, Turkey, Kazakhstanis won seven medals.

In the medal standings of the 2026 World Championships, our team only lost to Vietnam and Turkey.
