The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan explained the incident. The agency reported that a planned training flight of a Su-30SM aircraft of the Kazakh Air Defense Forces was conducted over the city.
The Defense Ministry emphasized that such flights are carried out on a regular basis as part of flight crew training.
"On June 24, a planned training flight of a Su-30SM aircraft of the Kazakh Air Defense Forces took place over Atyrau. Such flights are conducted on a regular basis as part of flight crew training. They are necessary to maintain pilots' professional skills and ensure the safe operation of aviation equipment," the press service of the agency reported.
Residents were urged not to panic and to trust only verified information.
