Residents of Kazakhstan's regions may notice military vehicles on the roads in the coming days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, this is due to planned exercises of the Armed Forces.

"From June 29 to July 2, comprehensive tactical and drill classes will be held in military units and army institutions to bring troops to higher levels of combat readiness. The military will practice actions of personnel and units in case of an operational transfer of the army to an enhanced mode of operation," the Ministry of Defense reported.

The ministry clarified that the main part of the events will take place on the territory of military units and training grounds. However, some units will march to training centers and ranges, so temporary traffic restrictions may be possible on certain road sections in the regions.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the classes are planned and exclusively educational in nature.

Kazakhstanis, as well as social media users and media representatives, were urged to rely only on official information and not to spread unverified information.

Earlier, residents of Atyrau noticed a military fighter jet in the sky over the city. The Ministry of Defense then explained that it was a Su-30SM aircraft performing a planned training flight.

The day before, Kazakhstanis were warned that anti-terrorism exercises would be held in Kurchatov and Balkhash.
