Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy has published on the 'Open Regulatory Legal Acts' portal a draft order extending restrictions on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel and some oil products. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the draft, from November 22, 2026 to May 22, 2027, the export of gasoline, diesel fuel and some oil products by road and rail transport, including to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, will be prohibited.
Additionally, from January 1, 2027 to June 30, 2027, the export of light distillates, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, gas oil, toluene, xylene and petroleum bitumen outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union will be banned.
The bans are introduced for a period of six months and provide for certain exceptions, including humanitarian aid and supplies carried out in accordance with decisions of the Government of Kazakhstan.
