Kazakhstan and Turkey have agreed to allow road carriers to load cargo at seaports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A meeting of the Kazakhstan-Turkey mixed commission on road transport was held in the city of Antalya.
"The parties agreed that no quantitative restrictions will be imposed on electronic permits. This agreement will allow for more flexible organization of transportation and prompt response to the needs of carriers," the statement said.
One of the important results is that Kazakh carriers will be able to load cargo at Turkish seaports for subsequent transportation to Kazakhstan.
The parties also agreed to exchange 3,000 permit forms annually starting from 2026 for the transportation of such transit cargo.
