Representatives of the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the IV International Forum "ROSTKI: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" held in Kazan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the forum, representatives of museum affairs, scientific and educational organizations from Kazakhstan, Russia and China gathered to discuss issues of preserving cultural heritage and developing international cooperation. The Kazakh side made a presentation on "From Historical Directions to Modern Partnership: Inter-Museum Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the Context of the Great Silk Road Heritage".
"The meeting discussed the role of museums in studying and promoting the heritage of the Great Silk Road, as well as modern ways to develop scientific and professional ties between cultural organizations," the statement said.
During the forum, the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan signed a memorandum of cooperation. Under the document, the museums of the two countries will hold joint exhibitions, implement scientific works and educational projects. Exchange of experience and further development of professional ties are also envisaged.
