Following the Kazakhstan–China investment forum, the parties signed 50 commercial documents. Their total value was estimated at $8.2 billion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the heads of Hong Kong Sino-Science Oil and Gas, Yin Caiwan; VNET Group, Chen Sheng; Shanghai Junhe Atomic Technology, Tian Jiashu; and Silk Road Finance Corporation, Li Shan. They discussed the prospects for joint projects in energy, digitalization and finance. Among the possible areas is the production of small modular nuclear reactors in Kazakhstan.

In addition, Tokayev met with the senior president of UBTECH Robotics Corp, Zhong Yun. The President welcomed the company's plans to open a plant for educational and service robotics in Almaty. According to him, it will become UBTECH's first production facility outside China. The parties also discussed cooperation with Kazakh universities and colleges and the creation of a joint competence center.

It also became known that Chinese investors will build two large plants worth $1.6 billion in the Abai region.

And Samruk-Energo (a subsidiary of Samruk-Kazyna) agreed to build two wind power plants (WPPs) of 500 MW each with China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. and SANY Renewable Energy Co., Ltd.
