Qurultai deputies ratified the agreement on cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar in combating crime. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The agreement regulates interaction in combating organized crime, terrorist and extremist crimes, illicit trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, illegal migration and human trafficking.
Competent authorities of the two countries may send requests to each other.
Main measures
- 01operational exchange of information before a criminal case is initiated;
- 02operational verification of data on the search for persons;
- 03conducting joint exercises in the field of combating cybercrime and money laundering;
- 04exchange of technologies;
- 05advanced training.
It is worth noting that the agreement on cooperation in combating crime between Kazakhstan and Qatar was concluded on October 29, 2024 in Doha.
However, it must be ratified by the parliaments of both countries.
