The issue of restoring direct flights between Kazakhstan and Kuwait is under consideration. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Kuwait Yerzhan Yelekeyev and the CEO of Jazeera Airways, Barathan Pasupathi, discussed the prospects of restoring direct air links.

"The management of Jazeera Airways confirmed that its interest in the Kazakhstan route remains. It also expressed its intention to restore direct air links between the two countries once the situation in the region stabilizes and favorable conditions for operating flights are in place," the statement said.

The parties noted Kazakhstan's potential as a tourist destination for Kuwaiti citizens, drawing attention to the attractiveness of the country's natural sights and recreational opportunities.

Jazeera Airways is a private Kuwaiti airline that carries passengers on more than 50 routes to countries in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa. In 2021, the airline opened direct flights between Kuwait City and Almaty. However, these flights were later suspended due to the situation in the region.
