Kazakhstan and Iran will accelerate the development of the transport corridor and investment cooperation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The sides discussed issues of increasing transit potential and implementing joint projects. During the negotiations, issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran, as well as developing transport corridors, were considered.

To increase trade turnover between the two countries and implement investment projects, joint working groups were established. Also discussed were the development of railway and highway links between Kazakhstan and Iran, and increasing transit traffic.

The Iranian side highly appreciated Kazakhstan's transit potential and expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Following the meeting, a number of agreements were signed.
