Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier held talks in an expanded format. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the talks, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that bilateral trade turnover reached $4.5 billion in 2025.
"Positive momentum continues this year as well. In the 7 months since the beginning of the year, the volume of mutual trade exceeded $2.6 billion. More than 1,400 companies with German capital are registered in Kazakhstan. Over twenty years, the total volume of investments attracted from Germany amounted to $8 billion," the President of Kazakhstan said.
During the talks, special attention was paid to strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. In particular, the heads of state confirmed their commitment to further intensifying interaction in the fields of education, medicine and culture.
