Following Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov's official visit to Minsk, contracts worth more than $100 million were signed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the official visit, issues of strengthening trade and economic relations were discussed. In 2025, trade turnover amounted to about $1.2 billion. According to the results of the seven months of this year, export volume grew by more than 35%.
Key agreements
According to Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev, during the prime minister's visit, contracts worth a total of more than $100 million were signed. Among them are industrial cooperation projects and agreements on the supply of vehicles to the Republic of Belarus.
"In general, emphasis was placed on industrial cooperation and the supply of agro-industrial products," the minister said.
Vehicle supplies
In particular, a contract was signed for the supply of 790 commercial vehicles produced by Hyundai Trans Auto LLP in 2027–2028 to its partner in Belarus — Er Si Em LLP. Their total value is at least $30 million.
The confirmed total export potential of Kazakh automakers to the Belarusian market reaches up to 4,500 vehicles per year.
Agreements were also reached on the supply of Kazakh beverages and other products.
