Kazakhstan's IT services exports have grown more than 34-fold over five years, from $33.5 million in 2020 to $1.142 billion by the end of 2025. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The growth was consistent: in 2021 exports totaled $60.07 million, in 2022 — $337 million, in 2023 — $529.1 million, in 2024 — $690.7 million. In 2025, the figure exceeded $1 billion for the first time.

Kazakhstan has also become a net exporter of IT services. Export revenue was more than 2.6 times higher than spending on imports of foreign digital solutions, which amounted to $429 million.

The ministry also compared Kazakhstan's indicators with other countries in the region. Georgia's exports of telecommunications, computer, and information services in 2024 totaled $842.3 million, while Armenia's reached about $1.18 billion.

Kazakhstani IT companies now supply digital solutions to more than 110 countries. Exports by Astana Hub participants reached $634 million in 2025, with 537 companies engaged in foreign sales. The ecosystem has created over 32,000 jobs.

The next stage will be the further entry of Kazakhstani technology companies into the markets of the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The authorities also plan to develop international channels for promoting domestic IT solutions.

The strategic goal is to increase Kazakhstan's IT services exports to $5 billion by 2030.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that companies in Central Asia and the Caucasus significantly outpace global average rates of artificial intelligence adoption. According to KPMG, 53% of companies in the region already use AI at an industrial scale, compared to 24% globally. Meanwhile, only 34% of companies in the region have a full-fledged AI strategy.
