Members of Qazaqstan Halqy Kengesi are ready to send 815 million tenge to help the families of servicemen killed on the coast of the Caspian Sea. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Seventeen members of the Council — business representatives from different regions of the country — joined the charity initiative. As reported by the Secretariat of Qazaqstan Halqy Kengesi, the funds will be transferred directly to the families of the deceased.
Who is donating what
Chairman of the board of directors of Allur Group Andrey Lavrentyev and general director of Integra Construction KZ Shakhmurat Mutalip will each send 25 million tenge to each family of the fallen servicemen.
General director of SA Construction Group Gadzhi Gadzhiyev will allocate 100 million tenge to help the families, and founder of Karazhal Operating Zhumabek Zhanykulov — 50 million tenge. Bakhyt Ataibekov, Dmitry Laktyushin, Akbarzhon Ismailov and Imamzada Shagirtayev will each allocate 10 million tenge.
Gennady Zenchenko, Alexander Kupriyenko, Syrym Yertayev and Lugmar Bularov will each send 5 million tenge. Nikolai Arsyutin, Rafail Gadzhibalayev, Manas Tashybekov, Latipsha Asanov and Abdulla Ismatullayev also joined the initiative — each of them will allocate 1 million tenge to support the families of the fallen servicemen.
Koshanov's condolences
Earlier, chairman of Qazaqstan Halqy Kengesi Yerlan Koshanov expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the servicemen and stressed that, on the instructions of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a special state commission was created and all necessary assistance was organized.
"The death of our servicemen is above all a great human tragedy. By order of the head of state, September 25 has been declared a day of national mourning. I express deep and sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery and return home," he said.
Investigation status
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a meeting of the Government Commission created over the deaths of servicemen during military exercises in the Mangystau region was held.
As reported by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sanzhar Adilov, a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 453 ("Negligent attitude to service, entailing grave consequences") and Article 465 ("Violation of the rules of navigation") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The tragedy in the Caspian Sea occurred on September 24 during exercises. In bad weather, 17 servicemen were carried out to sea. Twelve died, three were rescued, and the search for two others continues.
Over the deaths of the servicemen, the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan opened a criminal case.
Earlier, the country's Ministry of Defense published the full list of names of the fallen military personnel.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed that assistance be provided to the families of the deceased and declared September 25 a day of national mourning.
