For the 2026-2027 academic year, the Qazaqstan Khalqyna public fund has allocated 350 education grants for applicants to study at higher education institutions under its charitable program. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Graduates of schools in rural settlements, small and single-industry towns aged up to 25 years inclusive can apply for the education grant if they fall into one of the following categories:
- 01orphans and persons left without parental care before reaching adulthood;
- 02persons with disabilities;
- 03children from families raising children with disabilities, as well as applicants whose parents have disabilities.
Grant recipients will have their tuition fees paid up to 1 million tenge per year. Additionally, a monthly stipend of 60 thousand tenge will be awarded during the study period. The stipend is paid annually for 10 months, excluding the summer holidays.
According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the list of applicants for the education grant is formed from among applicants who passed the UNT and scored the minimum passing score established for admission (including results of creative exams). The list of applicants is formalized by the minutes of the university's competition committee meeting.
