Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abayev, spoke at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
At the festival, Kazakhstan was represented by a delegation of about one hundred people from all regions of the country. The Kazakh ambassador also addressed all participants, according to kaztourism. His appeal will surely be remembered by young people and will likely go viral on social media.
"For young people, I can say just a few things. You must not be scumbags. I don't know if it will be translated correctly, I hope so. That's the first. Well, if I had said to be good people, you probably wouldn't have remembered it. This is a very important skill, an important quality — not to be a scumbag," Abayev noted.
He also recommended that students become professionals and build social connections. The ambassador gave his own example: he headed a student trade union committee, played football, and participated in KVN. This helped him substantially expand his circle of acquaintances, while after his studies he had far less time for networking.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that up to 2 million young Kazakhstanis could be left without work in the near future, so the call to engage more in networking is now more relevant than ever.
