Speaking at the opening ceremony of the III International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence in Astana, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan ranks 24th among 193 countries in the United Nations e-government development index. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the President, in terms of readiness for introducing new technologies, our country is leading in Central Asia. "We are creating a unified innovation ecosystem where artificial intelligence will deeply penetrate all spheres of society as an important mechanism for managing the state, economy, and business," he said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that last year at the Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence in Beijing, Kazakhstani schoolchildren won three gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. "This achievement, which raises the country's prestige, demonstrates the great intellectual and creative potential of our youth," the head of state emphasized.

The President wished the Olympiad participants success and expressed sincere gratitude to all citizens who contributed to organizing this important event.
