The government has released the country's economic indicators for six months. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, in January-June, Kazakhstan's economy grew by 4.1%.

"The main driver of economic growth remains the non-oil sector. This year, the growth rate of non-oil sectors has been consistently above 5%," Zhumangarin said at today's government meeting.

The highest growth was recorded in the following sectors: construction; manufacturing industry; transport services; trade.

"The total contribution of these sectors to GDP growth is about 85%. Positive dynamics are also observed in agriculture and communication services," the Vice Prime Minister noted.

In addition, investments remain one of the main drivers of economic growth.
