The government has published the results of the country's economic development over nine months. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, this year there were unfavorable factors for the economy. These include: a reduction in oil production to 69.4 million tonnes; the strengthening of the tenge (a negative effect on exports and budget revenues); and a 16 percent decrease in consumer loans (as a result, consumer demand declined).

"Despite these factors, Kazakhstan's economic growth continues and shows positive dynamics. According to the results of the nine months of this year, economic growth amounted to 4.2 percent," Zhumangarin said at today's government meeting.

According to him, economic growth was ensured by the non-commodity sector.

"Among the sectors, construction, manufacturing, transport services and trade are showing the highest rates. The combined contribution of these sectors to gross domestic product growth exceeds 75%," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
