The Government of Kazakhstan has presented a forecast for socio-economic development for 2027-2029. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin said at a government meeting that under the baseline scenario, the average growth of the gross domestic product over the next three years will be above 5 percent. Specifically, in 2027 – 5.3 percent, in 2028 – 5.5 percent, and in 2029 – 5.4 percent.
According to the minister, nominal GDP will grow from 199.3 trillion tenge in 2027 to 245 trillion tenge in 2029. Economic growth will be driven mainly by increased production in non-oil sectors. Agriculture is expected to be one of the main drivers, with an average annual growth of at least 5 percent.
This forecast outlines the key directions of the country's economic development and serves as a basis for state planning and budget processes. The government aims to ensure sustainable economic growth and improve the well-being of the population.
