Next Saturday, August 15, the Qazaqstan Barysy-2026 super tournament will take place in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the organizers, 40 wrestlers selected from all regions of the country will step onto the mat. The main highlight of the tournament will be the meeting of three champions who have won the golden belt in different years.
2017 winner Yelaman Yergaliyev, 2021 champion Dauren Nuralinov, and 2023 grand prize winner Galymzhan Kyrykbai will compete. Their participation will raise the status of this year's competition and make it one of the most exciting in the tournament's history, the official statement said.
Dauren Nuralinov and Galymzhan Kyrykbai will participate in the tournament for the first time since the 2021 final. Yelaman Yergaliyev returns to the competition after nine years.
Additionally, the super tournament will feature Qaisar Shamshidinov, winner of the "Turkistan Barysy-2026" tournament; Nurdaulet Zharylgapov, three-time medalist of Qazaqstan Barysy; Sayat Shamshiev, bronze medalist of Qazaqstan Barysy-2024; Kazakhstan champion Olzhas Shynkeev; Asian Cup winner Aidar Beskempir; and Aidar Beskempir and Adil Orazbaev, who took first and second places at the "Asker Barysy-2026" tournament.
The anniversary XV Qazaqstan Barysy-2026 super tournament will be held at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace in Astana.
