The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has responded to statements about the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles from the country's territory. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The ministry noted that recently some media have been spreading provocative claims about the possible use of Kazakhstan's territory for launching drones used in attacks on facilities in the Russian Federation.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan responsibly states that these statements are not true and are not confirmed by any data or facts," the message said.
The ministry emphasized that such publications are regarded as unfounded speculation aimed at distorting the traditionally friendly nature of Kazakhstan-Russia relations.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also states that Kazakhstan pursues a peaceful, balanced and responsible foreign policy based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs of states.
The Republic of Kazakhstan strictly observes the norms of international law and international treaty obligations concerning the provision of international and regional security," the message said.
The ministry reported that Kazakhstan does not provide its territory, airspace and infrastructure for actions directed against other states.
"In this regard, we call on representatives of the media and other persons to be guided by verified data and refrain from disseminating false information," the ministry concluded.
