Kazakhstan's auto industry will need more than 10,000 engineers and workers in the next three years. This was announced at a government meeting by Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to him, training for the auto industry is currently conducted in 19 universities in Kazakhstan under 34 educational programs.
The minister added that currently about four thousand students in Kazakhstan are receiving engineering education in fields demanded by the automotive industry.
"For the automotive industry, the need for engineering and working personnel for the next three years is 10,201 people," noted Sayasat Nurbek.
The data is based on a large-scale survey of 73 thousand enterprises, of which 92 are in the auto industry.
In addition, personnel for the industry are also trained abroad under the Bolashak program. Under this program, 176 specialists have already been trained, and currently another 23 scholarship holders are undergoing training and scientific internships in Germany, the UK, the USA, the Czech Republic, Japan, China, Italy and other countries.
