Kazakhstan's women's volleyball team lost to South Korea 0:3 (24:26, 25:27, 21:25) in the quarterfinals of the Asian Games. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The team coached by Askar Shalkibekov, having beaten the Philippines and lost to China, finished second in Group B. The South Koreans, winning three matches, topped quartet D.
The quarterfinal match was extremely tight. In all sets, the Kazakh players started well and led in the score. And they invariably lost the ending.
Having suffered a frustrating defeat, the Kazakhstan national team will now compete only for fifth place.
