Chairman of the Management Board of QazaqGaz Alibek Zhamauov believes that top managers of the national company should receive bonuses and incentives when they achieve their targets, but he does not consider them large. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
"Bonuses and incentives are paid in accordance with corporate rules approved by Samruk-Kazyna, but the bonuses and incentives of the national company QazaqGaz are not that large, I think," he told journalists.
In his opinion, top managers of the national company need to be paid bonuses and incentives because they work and deliver results.
"Yes, they deserve (to receive bonuses, QazaqGaz top managers – Kursiv)," said Alibek Zhamauov.
The Financial Reporting Depository currently only has a publication on the remuneration of board members for 2024, which amounted to 420.72 million tenge for that year. The board that year consisted of nine people: Akbar Tulegenov, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, Meirbek Ikhsanov, Aidyn Akan, Ulan Burkitov, Marat Kaspakov, Anuar Bitanov, Arman Kasenov, and Khakim Maksut. Rough calculations show each member received 3.89 million tenge per month.
At the same time, QazaqGaz's 2025 reporting states that in 2025 the total remuneration of key management personnel of the company amounted to 737.5 million tenge.
"Key management personnel consists of members of the management board and independent directors of the company, totaling 13 people. In 2025 and 2024, the total remuneration of key management personnel amounted to 737,548 thousand tenge and 700,414 thousand tenge for board members, as well as 74,890 thousand tenge and 74,350 thousand tenge for independent directors, respectively," the document notes.
This amount consisted mainly of salaries and other payments and was included in general and administrative expenses in the consolidated statement of comprehensive income of the national company.
In addition, Chairman of the Management Board of KazMunayGas Askhat Khasenov confirmed to journalists that he once used a jet service. However, according to him, KMG did not pay for this service. The head of the national company said that the use of the jet was due to a large number of events that day in the Atyrau region and Astana. The service was provided by a partner organization of KMG, he clarified. At the same time, Askhat Khasenov assured that KazMunayGas does not use jet services on its own initiative.
The journalist who asked the head of KMG noted that he considers flying on jets a "shame" and asked whether Askhat Khasenov continues to fly on them, and whether he actually sued the Orda website that wrote about it. To the second question, Askhat Khasenov replied that investigative and judicial proceedings are currently ongoing, asking to wait for their completion.
Members of the management board of KazMunayGas (a subsidiary of Samruk-Kazyna) received 519.1 million tenge in remuneration in 2025, the national company previously reported.
