In October, the weather across Kazakhstan will be warm, and precipitation will be within the climatic norm. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Warm start to the month
According to Kazhydromet, in the first days of October, air temperatures in most of Kazakhstan are expected to range from +15+25°C.
Impact of the northern cyclone
After that, under the influence of a northern cyclone, precipitation in the form of rain and snow will fall across the entire territory of the republic.
The wind will strengthen, with gusts reaching 15-28 m/s. A blizzard is possible in the northern half.
Fog, black ice and frost
Due to the intrusion of Arctic air masses, fog and black ice are expected, and frost is possible.
Air temperatures will drop significantly, but this period will not last long:
- 01in the west and northwest of the country, at night -6+5°C, during the day up to +2+11°C;
- 02in the north, east and center, at night -1-6°C, during the day up to 0,+8°C;
- 03in the south and southeast of the republic, at night 0,+5°C, during the day +10+15°C, in mountainous areas at night -2-10°C, during the day up to +5+10°C the mercury will drop.
Arrival of warm air masses
In the second half of the first ten-day period, due to the arrival of warm air masses from Central Asia and the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, daytime air temperatures in most of Kazakhstan will rise to +15+20°C, and in the southwest and southern half — to +18+28°C.
Second and third ten-day periods
In the second and third ten-day periods of October, the weather will be unstable:
- 01in the western and northwestern regions, at night from +5+12°C to -5+5°C, during the day from +18+28°C to +10+20°C;
- 02in the north, center and east of the country, at night from +3+8°C to -1-8°C, during the day from +15+23°C to +3+13°C;
- 03in the southern half, at night from +5+10°C to -3+5°C, during the day from +15+23°C to +20+30°C it will be warm.
In some periods, the air temperature at night will be -1-6°C, during the day +10+15°C.
